The NEET UG 2025 Counselling process is expected to begin very soon after the release of the NEET result. When Will NEET 2025 Counselling Start?

The NEET 2025 result was announced recently. Now, students are waiting for the NEET 2025 counselling dates. According to reports, the counselling process is expected to begin soon. There are two types of NEET counselling in India:

  • All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling for 15% seats in all government medical colleges, and for 100% seats in deemed universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, etc. The MCC does this counselling. 

  • State Quota Counselling for 85% seats in government medical colleges and 100% seats in state private colleges. Each state conducts its own NEET counselling separately.

NEET 2025 Counselling Process: Step by Step

Students need to follow these simple steps during NEET counselling:

  • Registration: Firstly candidates have to register on the counselling portal— mcc.nic.in for AIQ or the state’s official site.

  • Choice Filling and Locking: After registration, candidates need to fill out their choice of colleges and courses (MBBS/BDS). Carefully lock your choices before the deadline.

  • Seat Allotment: Based on NEET rank, preferences, category, and seat availability, seats will be allotted. The seat allotment result will be published online.

  • Reporting to the College: If a seat is allotted, students must visit the college for document verification and admission confirmation.

  • Next Rounds: Students not satisfied with the allotted seat can participate in Round 2, Mop-up Round, or Stray Vacancy Round.
